Many rallied outside Auburn Hospital last week, calling on all election candidates to support the introduction of a safe nursing and midwifery ratio system on every shift, in every hospital in NSW and urge locals to use their vote to support the introduction of safe staffing ratios in public hospitals.
Audrey Figues, secretary of the NSWNMA Auburn Hospital Branch, says ratios is not just a word, “it’s something that needs to be implemented and it needs to be done as soon as possible”.
