Bursting with excitement, Business of the Year winner Yourway Design Australia’s Lara Nemer said they were in shock when the name of their Revesby-based business was called out since 2024 was the first year they’d been nominated for a win.
“We were just so surprised and happy and can’t thank enough all of our loyal customers who supported us,” she said.
“The secret to our success is high level customer service and high quality products.
“Being a manufacturing business, specialising in but not limited to kitchen renovations and custom built-in wardrobes, we go that extra mile for every customer and are also happy to give back through our charity projects.
“This is such fantastic recognition for all of our combined experience of over 20 years.”
Likewise, Barewolf Men’s Aesthetic Clinic’s Georgina Makke said they were shocked to take out the Local Business Award in the Beauty Services category.
“It was unexpected as our Belmore business is the first men’s clinic in the world and we were up against all the female beauty service businesses,” she said.
“So to get this win was extra special and it is actually our second business win for the year after taking out the Champion Entrepreneur category in the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards. earlier this year.”
Winning the Physiotherapy Award category for the third time, Bankstown Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre’s Jim Liakos said it was always thrilling.
“We do our best and always try to get the best possible outcome for each of our clients,” he said.
“We also support a range of sporting organisations and we would like to thank all of our supporters.”
Outstanding Health Services Award winner, ChiroKinetix CEO Dr Ned Khodragha said the achievement reflected the community’s support and trust.
“For the past 17 years, my goal has been to make a positive impact and winning this award highlights the significant difference we have made in health services,” he said.
“It was a pleasant surprise to win, especially considering the strong competition from other outstanding businesses we work alongside.
“I am grateful to my dedicated team, who consistently go above and beyond to serve our community with excellence.”
Precedent Productions managing director and Awards founder Steve Loe said there could only be one winner in each category, but every single finalist was already a winner as far as he’s concerned.
“The night is always a great opportunity for business people and their teams to reflect on their successes with a fun night out made possible thanks to our sponsors,” he said.
“The winners’ speeches are always heartfelt and emotional, and this year was no exception.”
