STUDENTS’ safety at Condell Park Public School will be strengthened with one of 88 new school crossing supervisors to soon be appointed.
Making the announcement, State MP for East Hills, Wendy Lindsay, also encouraged dedicated people interested in serving their community to keep an eye out for the job ads with recruitment beginning soon.
Other safety measures include reduced speed limits in school zones as well as high visibility safety treatments like signs, “dragon teeth” road markings and flashing lights.
Ms Lindsay also reminded motorists to “watch their speed and slow down when entering an active school zone”.
