Pat Anderson, who has dedicated her life to social work and community service, was celebrating her 100th birthday at her residence at Advantage Care, Georges Hall.
“We swapped stories about our volunteer work and how she spent her retirement teaching English to migrants… something very close to my heart,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
And her secret to a long life, “always having a smile on your face”.
