Netballers going crazy for charity

WITH Crazy Hair and Sock Days being run by netball clubs and associatIons all over the state in aid of The Kids’ Cancer Project, NSW Swifts head coach Briony Akle has a special surprise for the team, club or association that raises the most money for the Charity in 2022.

The two-time Premiership winning Australian Coach of the Year will come to your club/association and hold a special training session with your players – a once in a lifetime opportunity for many netballers.
Akle, who also won two titles with the Swifts as a player, is encouraging all NSW clubs and associations to host their own Crazy Hair & Sock Day, which is not just a great way to have fun, but also an innovative way to raise funds for a brilliant cause.
“The Kids’ Cancer Project are hugely inspiring and do vital work to help children and their families who are doing it tough because of childhood cancer,” she said.
“We have been lucky enough to be given an insight into the amazing things they do to make life better for so many, including some of our netball community who’ve been affected by these awful diseases, so I am really hoping everyone in our netball family gets behind this.”
The team/club/association that raisies the most money will be announced later this year.
