Netballers back to attack, hold court

COMPRISING over 2,000 players representing 10 local clubs, Bankstown City Netball Association (BCNA) has enjoyed the first two rounds of the season with latecomers still able to register up until May 25.

BCNA President Nicole Oram said that after several years upset by the pandemic and run of wet weather, it felt amazing to have a normal season underway.
“Our 15s went on a bonding weekend recently to Parkes to play at a representative carnival against their 17s and Opens,” she said.
“Everyone had an amazing time and Parkes Netball have invited us back again next year.
“Our representative teams, including 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s and 17s, also got a great start to their season in Penrith earlier last month, with further rep training and Metro League coming up soon.”
Bankstown Sports Netball Club Secretary Michelle Boulais saying their 21 teams rocked up last weekend for the March Past (pictured) or official opening and ready to smash the season.
“We’re so excited the season has finally arrived with fingers crossed the weather holds out,” she said.
