Need funds for less invasive treatments for sick children

DID you know that 86 children in Australia are diagnosed with cancer every month?

Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) is challenging residents to help change this statistic by walking or running 86 kilometres this March, gathering sponsors along the way and contribute to the efforts of experts to help find a cure.
CCI researcher and Bankstown resident Christina Bui has registered to take part in the ‘86K for a Cure’.
“I’m participating in ‘86k for a Cure’ as I’ve seen firsthand the impact childhood cancer can have both in my personal life and in my work at the Children’s Cancer Institute,” she said.
“More funding is needed for less invasive treatment options for children with cancer and I encourage everyone in the community to join me in the ‘86K for a Cure’ challenge.”
