Nearly 530 step out at Feet Fest

PERFECT conditions greeted the nearly 530 runners taking part in the the annual Festival of the Feet Mirambeena Regional Park in Georges Hall last Sunday.

Race director and spokesperson for Western Districts Joggers and Harriers, Sue Reynolds, said the event was a big success with several groups, as well as individuals and families, taking part.
“It was really great to see such a wide range of people taking part, with mums, dads, nannas, pops and lots of children racing each other across the finish line,” she said.
“We want to thank everyone for participating as well as all those behind the scenes who helped everything work smoothly on the day.
“Thanks also to Primo donating a cheque for $1,014 from their stand as well as support from Councillors Chris Cahill and Rachelle Harika, Unity Bank, Bankstown Podiatry, LAPD triathlon club, Angelflight, Be Active Physiotherapy, Golden Signs of Australia, Bunnings Milperra and Bankstown Sports Club.”
Half marathon winners were Ian Zhou 1.16.51, 2nd Anthony Small 1.23.08, 3rd Liam Wallace.1.26.20. Females: 1st Christine Mcgrath 1.35.04, 2nd Jenny Wood 1.39.38, 3rd Sarah McCabe 1.46.04.
14km race: 1st Daniel Schouten 51.15, 2nd Scott Connolly 51.59, 3rd Lucas Au, 53.40. Females: 1st Rachel Jack 58.33, 2nd Beth Pejic 1.03.42, 3rd Freya Rogers 1.07.09.
7km race: 1st Jonah Edwards 24.25, 2nd Christian Lotter 24.28, 3rd Cameron Dodds 24.55. Females: 1st Jacquie Vorobieff 32.43, 2nd Erin Allison 32.46, 3rd Issabella Cox 34.24. 3km race: 1st Kade Burgess 11.10, 2nd Dion Sidrak 11.45, 3rd Peter Sidrak 11.46 (in father, son race off). Females: Amber Rich 11.48, 2nd Sarah Eyears 12.54, 3rd Tahlia Chapman 13.40.
