PICNIC Point resident Gloria Hansen has been congratulated at a morning tea after receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia on Australia Day for her service to the community.
Mrs Hansen has been involved in P&C associations at local schools for more than 45 years and been a foster parent to 23 children.
The morning tea was organised by Banks MP David Coleman and attended by East Hills MP Wendy Lindsay, Revesby Public School Principal Narelle Nies, former East Hills MP Glenn Brookes and Panania RSL Sub-Branch Vice-President Joe Kaplun.
Mr Coleman said it was great to congratulate Gloria in person and hear about the work she has done for the community.
“Gloria is a highly valued member of our community whose work with P&C associations at local schools and as a foster parent, was very deserving of recognition,” he said.
