MP urging all to get a lifesaving booster

STATE MP for Granville, Julia Finn, is encouraging everyone to help keep the community safe and get their booster shot.

Ms Finn has already had her booster shot and is now encouraging everyone to get theirs as the community continues to suffer with the latest Covid-19 outbreak.
She said Covid has “hit our community really hard” and after enduring the hard lockdown for four months last year, “we are now again suffering through an even more contagious variant, Omicron”.
“I’ve had friends and family suffer through this awful disease and sadly, I know some who passed away last year,” she said.
“Vaccination is our best way to avoid serious illness with Covid. Unfortunately the vaccine’s effectiveness begins to wear off after a few months.“
People aged 18 years and older can get a booster at least four months after receiving their second dose of any of the Covid-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
Health Minister Brad Hazzard says the best way to keep communities safe is through the booster program.
“Boosters provide additional protection not only for you, but for your colleagues, loved ones and community,” he said.
