Granville Combined Division Manager Isabelle Moutia says volunteers are provided with first aid certificate training and further training and supervision for six months once they have completed initial training as a first responder.
“We have semi and retired people volunteering and many of our younger volunteers go on to become healthcare or emergency service professionals,” she said.
“There is nothing more rewarding than volunteering and without volunteers, organisations like ours simply would not exist.”
