Modern indoor, outdoor learning spaces popular

ST John Vianney Catholic Primary School, Greenacre, has undergone significant changes in the past few years, with the staff, parish, students and parents all playing a significant role in its revitalisation and they could not be happier.
With over $1.4 million spent upgrading the classrooms, playground facilities, library and COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area), the students now have contemporary learning spaces that support the many educational programs and activities the school provides.
Generous learning spaces have also paved the way for the Amadeus Music program where orchestral instrument tuition is open to every child from Year 3-6, with expert staff providing specialist sport, music and art instruction weekly.
As well as offering a nurturing, faith-filled, multicultural community, other benefits include before and after-school care, playgroup, onsite school counsellor, a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy and a focus on technology.
A Year 2 student said: “Our new classrooms are great. The new furniture means we have a choice of where we sit and how we work.”
Parent Mrs B said: “I came here as a child and have wonderful memories of my time here and I wanted the same for my child.”
With access to a range of services and opportunities that may be out of reach in other education settings, a school spokesperson said: “It does take a village to raise a child, ours is growing and we would love the opportunity to make you a part of it.”
