Mobile blood donor centre in Padstow

DID you know over 8.3 million Australians will need blood in their lifetime?

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is urging the community to get on board following National Blood Donor Week earlier this month and head down to Padstow Mobile Blood Donor Centre at Bunnings, 88 Fairford Road, Padstow, and do the right thing.
It’s open Tuesday, June 28, to Sunday, July 3, and it needs your support.
“When you give blood, you’re more than just a donor, you’re the lifeblood of your community, your football team, your family and your neighbourhood,” a spokesperson said.
“Donors come in different shapes and sizes but they all have one thing in common – giving life.”
One in three Australians will need blood or blood products at some time in their life, whether it’s during childbirth, while undergoing chemotherapy or surgery, or as a result of trauma such as a road accident.blood
Blood is needed somewhere in Australia every 24 seconds, but presently only 3.5 percent of people donate blood.
