Migrant women at empowerment talk

WOMEN and family from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities (pictured) came together for the Riverwood Community Centre’s Women Empowerment and Leadership morning tea and information session, with guest speakers including Basim Shamaon, engagement officer from “Navitas English” association.

The Centre’s Family Support Worker, Ina Shouly, said the gathering at Punchbowl Community Centre was aimed at building community spirit and social development for families and communities and empowering women, “with an education focus to bring about change for their daily life”.
