An online talk will be offered next month for HSC students, courtesy of St John Ambulance Granville Combined Division and Cumberland Council.
St John Divisional Officer at Granville, Didier Moutia says the session aims to provide practical support people can implement and benefit from.
“Questions are encouraged and can be asked during the session,” he said.
HSC survivor of 2020, Kelly Ni will facilitate the session on Thursday, September 28, 7-8pm. A medical student at UNSW, she has been volunteering with St John since 2014 as part of the Granville Combined Cadet Division, and has since graduated to become a First Responder with the Adult Division
“This session is designed to help HSC students navigate these times,” she said.
“The HSC season is undoubtedly a challenging and stressful time for senior high school students.
“During the session, I will detail highly valuable study and self-care tips that helped me during my HSC year, as well as ways to change your mindset to view the HSC with more confidence.”
This session (via zoom) is suitable for high school students (and their parents and carers), particularly for those who are in Year 10 to 12.
Bookings essential: cumberland.nsw.gov.au.
HSC students can also get some extra study done during the ‘lock-in and quiet study’ sessions on Fridays at Auburn, Granville and Merrylands libraries.
Register attendance with library staff or phone 8757 9060.
