McDonalds stores set McHappy Day ‘record’

LOCAL McDonalds stores have helped set a new record for McHappy Day, raising $6.4 million – a 33 per cent increase on last year and equating to 40,000 nights in a Ronald McDonald House.

McDonalds licensees at Padstow, Punchbowl, Lakemba, Menai and Milperra, Tony and Mina Favotto said the community support on the day was amazing.
“Not only did Ronald McDonald himself pay us a visit but Punchbowl McDonalds hosted performers from Punchbowl Boys High, Belmore Boys High and preschoolers from Dance Theatre Network who kept our customers entertained,” Mina said.
“Thank you to the community for opening their hearts and supporting McHappy Day which is for a wonderful cause, raising funds to accommodate regional families of sick children who are undergoing lifesaving treatment in Sydney hospitals.”
