Man facing gun charges in organised crime hunt

POLICE allegedly found an airsoft pistol and $31,700 cash at home in Merrylands during a two-day operation to disrupt serious and organised crime across Sydney’s south west.

The items were allegedly found during a Firearms Prevention Order search last Tuesday morning at a home on Chelsea Street.
A 31-year-old man was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, acquire etc pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order, and acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order.
He was one of five men and a woman who were charged during the operation.
