Man dies after Roselands brawl

AN investigation is underway into the death of man who was stabbed during a fight at Roselands overnight.

Emergency services were called to Leonard Reserve on Chapel Street, Roselands, shortly before 9.50pm yesterday (Thursday, February 23), following reports of a brawl.
Campsie Police found a 24-year-old man suffering stab wounds.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the death under Strike Force Poton. Campsie detectives are being assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad..
Police have been told there were numerous people were involved in the fight, with many last seen running west along Myers Street.
