About 1.40pm (Wednesday, August 18), a Ford sedan crashed into a telegraph pole and despite the efforts of emergency services, the male driver and sole occupant died at the scene. His identity has yet to be confirmed.
A crime scene was established and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
