Man charged over bashing, robbery during home attack

A MAN was allegedly hit with a metal pole and robbed during an attack at a home in Guildford.

About 4.40pm on Thursday, December 28, a 29-year-old man went to the Clyde Street home and spoke to the occupant before he was allegedly assaulted, during which cash fell from his pocket and was then stolen.
The man was taken to hospital suffering facial injuries.
A 22-year-old man was arrested after attending Granville Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and steal from person.
A crime scene warrant was executed at the home on Clyde Street with forensic samples, clothing and cash seized for examination.
