Fourth arrest for murders

A MAN has been charged over his alleged role in the murder of a father and son – Toufik and Salim Hamze – at Guildford in 2021, after he was arrested in an early morning raid at a home in Granville last Wednesday.

Toufik, 64, and Salim, 18, were allegedly shot in a brazen daylight shooting while sitting in a parked ute outside a property in Osgood Street, just before 9am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
Salim died at the scene, while Toufik died on the way to hospital.
Strike Force Ormerod was formed to investigate the murders and has already charged three men, aged 20, 25 and 18, over their alleged roles.
Police also seized allegedly a car and other items relevant to the investigation at the Granville property, which will undergo forensic examination.
The man was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder, two counts of receive property-theft and participate criminal group contribute criminal.
