Man, 41, arrested over sexually touching women

A MAN from Riverwood has been charged after he allegedly sexually touched five different women at a Liverpool shopping centre last Wednesday.

Police were called to the centre on Elizabeth Drive about 2pm and met with security following reports a man had sexually touched several females.
The 41-year-old was charged with sexual touching (x4), common assault (x4), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.
Police will allege in court the man approached five different women, aged between 19 and 28, at the shopping centre and sexually touched them.
It is further alleged he followed one of the women for about 20 minutes and grabbed and twisted the arm of another woman.

Detain woman over carrying flag on fire
A WOMAN has been issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) after allegedly walking down a busy street in Lakemba last Tuesday night while carrying a burning flag.
Campsie Police were conducting patrols at Lakemba when they were alerted to an unauthorised protest of about 200 people in the reserve on The Boulevarde about 8pm.
About 9.30pm, police allegedly saw a woman walking down the street through traffic and holding an Israeli flag that was on fire.
Police said the flag was removed from the woman’s possession and as it was being extinguished, the woman ran from police. She was detained a short time later and was spoken to by police before being issued a move-on direction.
A large crowd had gathered but remained compliant and dispersed a short time later.
Following inquiries, a 48-year-old woman was issued with a CAN for behave in offensive manner in/near public place and wilfully prevent free passage of person/vehicle.

Arrest man, 20, for stomach stabbing
A MAN is in a serious but stable condition after he was allegedly stabbed at Wiley Park last Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old man turned up at Canterbury Hospital about 7.30pm suffering a stab wound to his abdomen.
A short time later, police established a crime scene at a house on Kathleen Avenue, Lakemba, before attending a house in Melrose Avenue, Wiley Park, and arresting a 20-year-old man, who was charged with reckless wounding (DV).
The men are known to each other.

Appeal for witness over three assaults
POLICE are appealing for information after three people were allegedly stabbed in Villawood last month.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Woodville Road, Villawood, about 1am on Saturday, April 3, following multiple noise complaints.
As police were dispersing the crowd, a 19-year-old man was located on Kirrang Avenue with stab wounds to his stomach, shoulder and thigh.
A short time later, two boys, aged 16 and 17, presented at Blacktown Hospital with stab wounds.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence and affray.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Home invader fled police in stolen car
A MAN has been charged after a car was allegedly stolen during a home invasion and involved in a pursuit with police in Bankstown last Saturday morning.
Just after 7am, police were called to a home on Marion Street, Bankstown, after reports of a home invasion.
Police were told that a man, armed with a knife, entered the home and forced entry to two rooms where he threatened the occupants, demanding cash and keys to a car.
The armed man allegedly stole a Mazda sedan and drove off.
Police sighted the car on Edgar Street, Condell Park, and initiated a pursuit after it allegedly failed to stop, travelling through Condell Park, Bankstown and Georges Hall.
The Mazda drove into parkland off Birdwood Road and the driver fled. A 38-year-old man from Merrylands was arrested after a short foot pursuit and charged with charged with aggravated robbery and use corporal violence, enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner/occupier, aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – armed, demand property with menaces with intent to steal, robbery armed with offensive weapon, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, learner not accompanied by driver/police officer/tester, learner exceed speed, and possess prohibited drug.
