A MAN has been charged and a truck seized from Greenacre after the alleged murder of a woman in North Parramatta on the weekend.

Last Sunday about 4.30pm, emergency services were called to a unit on Pennant Hills Road after reports of an alleged domestic violence-related incident, and found the body of a 19-year-old woman inside.
A crime scene was established, and specialist HAZMAT officers from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to assist.
The following day a 20-year-old man attended Bankstown Police station and was charged with murder.

Spike in stolen motor vehicles
POLICE have warned of a spike in stolen motor vehicles, with thieves targeting the popular Toyota Hilux with the aluminium tray.
Bankstown Police, Acting Commander Darren Sly said that there had been a number of the vehicles stolen from Yagoona and surrounding areas and it’s believed they are being sent overseas.
He suggests that the best way to keep your vehicle safe is to make sure it is locked and parked off street where possible, “so it can’t easily be seen”.
He also reminds motorists to keep their cars locked and don’t leave valuables inside.

Drivers reminded to slow down
MOTORISTS are being reminded to slow down and take extra care with school zones back in operation.
School zones are active from 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm; so be sure to take extra care and be aware of your surroundings with high pedestrian traffic, when travelling through these areas.
The fines are also higher for mobile phone use and parking in school zones.
