Magpies full of chirp after Mens, U19s take honours

ANZAC Day saw the Inner West Magpies Men’s Reserves and Premier divisions face off against Pennant Hills.

Mens Reserves played first with a 10am bounce. The boys had a tough day on the pitch going down 16-103 against a strong Demons side.
Mens Premier Division played at 1pm just after the Anzac ceremony and at quarter time, were tied with the demons on 19 points each.
However, the last quarter saw the local boys run away with the match, showing exceptional skill and class finishing up with a convincing score line of 106-48.
U19s mens had a big win over the Penrith Rams, finishing up 132-14.
Womens Premier Division came up against East Coast Eagles on Saturday at Picken and had a tough day on the field, going down 13-103, but showed great promise.
Round 3 will see three of the four teams play at Picken Oval; Women’s Prem Div at 10.10am, Mens Reserves at 12pm and Mens Prem Div at 2pm. Under 19s will play against UNSW at Mona Oval, with a 10.40am bounce.
