Salvos Area Manager Steve Gillespie says secondhand doesn’t mean second best.
“You’ll forget you’re in a secondhand store as most garments are either brand new or washed and pressed meticulously,” he said.
“If you’re heading to somewhere special or need some ‘new’ corporate attire or any other clothing item, kitchenwares, books or furniture, be sure to start your thrifting journey here.
“Every week we have racks of clothes that are either 50 per cent off or available on our popular $2 racks.”
Like most retail businesses, it’s been a different year with many curve balls but staff and loyal volunteers have worked through all this and continued to sort donations and get items ready for sale.
“The cleaning of our stores everyday, especially fitting rooms and point of sale areas, has been one of our main focuses,” Mr Gillespie said.
“Please continue to support us and remember, you don’t have to be poor to shop at the Salvos.”
