About 4.15am, Cumberland Police were called to Henry Street, Guildford, following reports of shots fired.
Police were told several shots were fired into the parked vehicle, shattering the driver’s side window, but the driver and two occupants were not injured.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A 19-year-old man, arrested near the scene, was charged with hinder police and breach of bail.
