Lots of activities in school hols

FROM magic shows and cake making to cooking classes and craft workshops, the first week of the school holidays offers a range of activities for all ages.

Bankstown Sports
Kids Bingo: Monday, July 8-15, 10.30am ($5).
Join them in the Rainforest Lounge for games of bingo and grab yourself an activity bag too.
Charlie and the chocolate factory children’s musical: Wednesday, July 10, ($5 members, $7 non-members. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. (Children under 3 years free). Come on a journey with Charlie Bucket and his Grandpa Joe, as they tour the magical factory of candy-maker, Willy Wonka, in this all-singing, all-dancing stage production that mixes ballet, pop and shout-out-loud participation.
Build-a-bear workshop: Thursday, July 11, 9.30am, 11am and 1pm. ($22)
Build your very own best friend with outfits and accessories to suit each individual personality.
Make your own churros: Wednesday and Thursday, July 10, 11, 10.30am and 12pm. ($17.95). Make your own delicious Spanish doughnuts at San Churro Chocolateria, and then enjoy a serving of kids churros and a kids milkshake.
Cake it up class: Friday, July 12, 10am, 11am and 1pm. ($10).

Joey Presto’s Magic Show: Monday, July 8, 10.30am. ($4)
Joey Presto is recognised as a first class entertainer and is one of Sydney’s busiest children’s magicians. For over 10 years he has amazed audiences with his fun filled approach to magic.
Walkabout Reptiles: Wednesday, July 10, 10.30am. ($5)
The fun and interactive display – suitable for children age 4 years and over – consist of a one-hour presentation of live snakes (non-venomous), lizards, a frog and baby crocodile and related props are introduced with an emphasis on their importance in the environment and need for these animals’ conservation. Children are also able to gently touch the animals throughout the display with a focus on personal safety and hygiene. The show also includes guitar and singing.
Kids Disco With DJ Kitkat: Thursday, July 11, 10.30am ($4).
DJ Kitkat offers an amazing sound and light show and shares the latest dance crazes for girls and boys.

Yagoona Anglican Church For All Nations
‘Holiday Kids Club – Mission: Unstoppable’, Wednesday to Friday, July 10-12, 9am-noon. ($10 child, $20 family; morning tea provided).
Most parents drop their children off and pick them up at the end but parents are also welcome to stay and watch, and you can book for one, two or three days. Bookings needed.
Family Funday Sunday: Sunday, July 14, 9am-12pm. Book your place.
Everyone’s welcome to enjoy a church service, jumping castle and barbecue lunch.
