Long Service Award for dedication to Sailability

PUNCHBOWL’S Paul Tayler has been presented with a Distinguished Long Service Award at the 2022 NSW Community Sports Awards for his dedication to Sailability NSW Inc for a quarter of a century.

He has been Treasurer of Sailability NSW Inc for the past 25 years and due to his dedication to the role and members, has ensured its 25 branches are committed to making a difference to the lives of people with a disability.
Sport NSW Chairperson Carolyn Campbell congratulated Mr Tayler (pictured with Minister for Tourism and Sport Stuart Ayres) and said volunteers like him were the backbone of community sport in NSW.
“They are the dedicated, hard-working individuals who contribute countless hours to enable thousands of men and women, girls and boys, to enjoy the health and social benefits of community sport each weekend,” she said.
“They are the unsung heroes on which sports clubs and sports communities are built, and we are delighted to honour their unflagging, dedicated work with this prestigious Award.”
He was one of 19 sports volunteers from a wide cross-section of sports who received the award which recognised outstanding achievements and contributions to community sport in NSW that is largely carried out by a volunteer workforce.
