Loads of fun, games on offer in school holidays

BEING able to understand and engage with technology isn’t just good to have – it’s a necessity for navigating an increasingly digitised society.

In a win for parents, Coding workshops are among two of the Cumberland Council school holiday activities on offer this week and next with all bookings essential.
• Drama workshop (ages 12-17) at Regents Park Library on Wednesday, September 27, 10am-12pm.
• Basketball Clinic (ages 12-17) on Wednesday, September 27, 12.30-2pm, at Auburn Basketball Centre.
• Sydney Thunder Cricket Literacy Program (ages 6-12) on Wednesday, September 27, or Wednesday, October 4, 2.30-3.30pm, at Granville Library.
• Berala Spring Fair (all ages) on Thursday, September 28, 10am-2pm, at Berala Community Centre, with face painting, cup cake decorating station – take home activity, science slime making workshop – take home activity, clown entertainer and balloon creations, giveaways, free sausage sizzle, and meet and greet with Pirate Captain Luke N’Silly.
• Board Games (ages over five and their families) on Thursday, September 28, at Guildford Library, Friday, September 29, at Regents Park Library and Friday, October 6, at Lidcombe Library, 10am-12pm.
• Adventure in Code Land – Free Roblox Coding Class (ages 6-12) on Thursday, September 28, and Thursday, October 5, 2-4pm, via online class.
• Family Movie (ages 5 and over and their families) on Thursday, September 28, 2.30-4.30pm, at Auburn Library.
• Lego Games (ages 5-12) on Friday, September 29, at Lidcombe Library and on Friday, October 6, at Regents Park Library, 10am-12pm.
• Multisport (ages 7-12) on Thursday, October 5, 10am-12pm, at Auburn Centre for Community.
• Storytime (ages 5-11) with award-winning Australian author Mariam Latifi (A to Z of Mini Muslims) on Thursday, October 5, 11am-12pm, at Granville Library.
• Coding with Cubetto (ages 6-10) on Thursday, October 5, 2.15-4.30pm, at Regents Park Library.
• Escape Room (ages 13-16) on Friday, October 6, 2-3pm and 2-4.30pm, at Merrylands Library.
