Little Wings aid flight takes off

BANKSTOWN pilot Joe Corrigan and two mates, Zach Fitton and Charlie Mosse, have taken off from Bankstown Airport on a mission to deliver a plane to England and raise $10,000 over their course of four weeks for charity Little Wings.

Crossing half the globe, they flew first to Darwin then East Timor, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Greece, Italy, Switzerland and then on to England.
“With the community’s help, and partnering with Masonicare, the Grand Charity of Freemasons in NSW and the ACT who are matching the first $3,000 raised, we hope to give Little Wings a boost to ensure that sick kids in rural Australia have access to medical care in major centres,” Joe said.
“With your donation, we can support the operation of their essential service, giving families the chance to focus on their child’s recovery, rather than the financial and logistical burdens that come with accessing medical care; 100 per cent of funds raised will go to Little Wings.”
Little Wings CEO Clare Pearson said: “Little Wings is a service for the community by the community, and its people like Joe and his mission that raise the flag for Little Wings a little higher and allow us to deliver. We are so grateful.”
