With a new watering system and refreshed event areas bringing the grounds up to competition standard after receiving a grant, the club is looking forward to welcoming back about 80 members but invites more to come along.
President Peter Harper says the events are on offer every Friday, 6.30-8.30pm, and thanks to the smaller sized group, everyone gets to take part in whatever they want.
“In some of the bigger clubs, a child might only get to go in one or two events but needs to hang around all day,” he said.
“Our numbers mean that we can run multiple events, the kids get to do a lot more things and we are very big about encouraging improvement.
“In fact our end of season champions are those that have improved their personal best or PB, the most.”
Costing $85 for under 6s and $125 for those aged older, the Active Kids Voucher is integrated into the registration making it easier to sign up and extremely affordable for parents.
“Juniors get free membership when they graduate to the senior club which is ASICS West and held at the same venue,” Harper said.
With training also on offer during the week if desired, the club is always on the lookout for volunteer parents to help run the events.
New families are invited to come along on Friday and give it a go to see if they like it before deciding to register.
