Lions to host charity golf day

Mick Garvey, Dean Rayner and Ralph Heness get in some practice.

THE Auburn Lidcombe Lions will host their 47th annual charity golf day, renamed this year as the Ralph Heness Golf Tournament, this Sunday, May 5.

Approached in late 1974 to run the Golf Day, Mr Heness hasn’t skipped a beat since.
“I’ve been doing charity work since the 1950s but to have my name officially associated with a charity event like this is such a great honour,” he said.
Played at Rosnay Golf Course in Auburn, the Golf Day is a Four Ball Ambrose and no handicap is required.
The $45 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a barbecue breakfast from 9am with tee off from 10.30am, and lunch, with funds raised on the day supporting St Joseph’s Hospital Auburn (St Vincent’s), Save Our Sons and Freedom Across Australia.
Bookings: Ralph, 0414 592 189.
