PICNIC Point diva Anna Salleh will be presenting a new series of shows with guitar maestro Guy Strazz, starting July 7.
Anna and Guy share a passion for Latin music – from Brazilian bossa nova to Afro-samba and other styles.
But beyond the classics sung by Astrud Gilberto and the like, their material also includes engaging instrumentals and original songs, such as the APRA-awarded Mandela.
Anna woos audiences with her vocal artistry and natural feel, while Guy’s guitar sings with deep expression.
Anna performs both nationally and internationally, and has achieved great acclaim for her show ‘Gorgeous Songs from Brazil & Beyond’, which has featured some of Australia’s best jazz and world musicians.
Guy is an award-winning guitarist, composer and recording artist.
He is well known for his albums and collaborations with artists such as Slava Grigoryan, Mike Stern, Matt McMahon and Vince Jones.
