Labor wins top place on ballot

LABOR has won the coveted top spot on the ballot papers for the Canterbury, East Hills and Auburn electorates, while others first out of the box were The Greens’ Max Boddy in Bankstown, the Sustainable Australia Party’s Glenn Hunt in Oatley, and Independent Severino Lovero in Fairfield.

With the countdown on to the State Election on Saturday, March 25, voters are encouraged to check their enrolment details with boundary changes affecting some electorates.
The candidates area:
Bankstown – Max Boddy, Isaac Nasedra (The Greens), Yosra Alyateem (Informed Medical Options Party), Marianne Glinka (Public Education Party), Jihad Dib (Labor), Nathan Taleb (Liberal), Luke Habib (Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment/Corruption) and Dorlene Abou-haidar (Animal Justice Party);
Canterbury – Sophie Cotsis (Labor), Joe Sinacor (Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment/Corruption), Kacey King (Animal Justice Party), Bradley Schott (The Greens), Vanessa Hadchiti (Liberal Democrats) and Nemr Boumansour (Liberal);
East Hills – Kylie Wilkinson (Labor), Chris Brogan (Independent), Wendy Lindsay (Liberal), Natalie Hanna (The Greens);
Oatley – Glenn Hunt (Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment/Corruption), Natalie Mort (Independent), Ashvini Ambihaipahar (Labor), Mark Coure (Liberal) and Taylor Vandijk (The Greens);
Fairfield – Severino Lovero (Independent), Hikmat Odesh (Independent), David Salib (Labor), Jacob Potkonyak (Legalise Cannabis Party), Monika Ball (The Greens), Aaryen Pillai (Liberal) and Robyn Leggatt (Public Education Party);
Auburn – Lynda Voltz (Labor), Masoomeh Asgari (The Greens), Jamal Daoud (Australians United), Julie Morkos Douaihy (Liberal Democrats), Shelley Goed (Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment/Corruption) and Mohammed (Haseen) Zaman (Liberal).
State electorates: Bankstown – Bankstown, Beverly Hills, Chullora, Condell Park, Greenacre, Lakemba, Mount Lewis, Narwee, Punchbowl, Revesby, Riverwood, Narwee, Roselands, Wiley Park and Yagoona; Canterbury – Belmore, Beverly Hills, Campsie, Canterbury, Clemton Park, Earlwood, Kingsgrove, Lakemba, Roselands and Wiley Park; East Hills – Bankstown, Bankstown Aerodrome, Bass Hill, Condell Park, East Hills, Georges Hall, Milperra, Padstow, Padstow Heights, Panania, Picnic Point, Revesby, Revesby Heights and Yagoona; Oatley – Beverly Hills, Narwee and Riverwood; and Fairfield – Bass Hill, Chester Hill, Georges Hall, Lansdowne and Villawood.
If you are eligible to vote in person before election day, you can visit an early voting centre on Saturday, March 18, or from Monday, March 20, to Friday, March 24.
