Kostas wanders back to home soil to help out at former club

WESTERN Sydney Wanderers’ Kostas Grozos was back on home soil to help out at his former club.

A First Grade A-League player and former Earlwood Wanderers FC (EWFC) junior, Kostas made a surprise appearance at Earlwood Oval, courtesy of a community partnership with GPP Skip Bins, who are an official sponsor of the Under 12/2 boys side.
He co-hosted a training session with the EWFC Under 12/2 Boys, putting them through their paces and providing tips on how to improve their football skills.

After a short chat with the enthusiastic junior footballers, they surrounded him for autographs on their football boots, shirts and other items.
Kostas then spent time with the 16/2 Girls team and provided insights on the professional game.
“To be back at home at Earlwood Oval, I felt like I was one of the 12 year olds out there, it was so special because a journey in professional sport starts on grounds and clubs like these,” he said.

“My time at Earlwood Wanderers FC was the foundation block for my journey. I am grateful that GPP Skip Bins provided an opportunity to spend time with the 12s and 16s girls – it is always nice to give something back.”
