Last Thursday about 8.25am, a 40-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man in the carpark of a shopping centre on North Terrace, Bankstown, who demanded she hand over her bag.
The woman walked off and entered her vehicle parked nearby, but the man followed and entered the passenger seat of the vehicle, producing a knife and stealing her bag, wallet and cash.
The man police want to speak to is described as being 170cm tall, with a dark beard, long blonde/brown hair, and has a distinctive walk with a limp to his left leg. He was wearing a dark ‘Gant’ cap, a black and blue ‘Nike’ hooded jacket with a high-vis top underneath, dark ‘Adidas’ pants with three stripes down one side, work boots and a black face mask.
The man’s hair was plaited, and he was carrying an ‘Aldi’ shopping bag. He was last seen running south on Stacey Street, Bankstown.

Serious condition after stabbing
A MAN was in a serious condition after a stabbing in Villawood last Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to a supermarket on Villawood Place where they found a 34-year-old man with injuries to his torso.
A 33-year-old man, who was arrested at a nearby residence before being taken to hospital with a wound to his leg, has been assisting police with inquiries.
A crime scene was established and an investigation is underway.
