Kids to put to test record Showbags

AN elite team of mini judges (pictured) have tried and tested a record-breaking 403 Showbags up for grabs at the Sydney Royal Easter Show (March 22 to April 2).

The team of more than 38 kids from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and Camp Quality, had support from alpaca, puppy and pony friends alike, as they undertook the highly sought-after responsibility of reviewing the Top 10 Showbags for 2024, and the Top 5 Showbags under $10.
The Show’s Manager of Operations and Product Development, Shane McGrath, said no matter your budget or taste, there was something for everyone.
There’s a broad value offering to choose from in the Showbag Pavilion this year, with the new and classic bag prices ranging from $4 to $36, and 89 Showbags for $10 or less.
New Showbags include the all-kinds Hey Vacay Showbag, Kyle & Jackie O’s World Famous Showbag, crowd favourites like Bertie Beetle and Warheads, and the RAS Foundation’s brand-new Give and Gather bag, which provides an immersive experience full of exclusive giveaways and discounts while also raising money for projects benefiting regional and rural communities across NSW.
“With a plethora of activities, exhibits, competitions and a whopping 12 hours of free entertainment daily, the Show has something for everyone from delightful encounters with baby animals, to indulging in wine tasting and witnessing premier livestock competitions,” Mr Wilton said.
