Kidnap extortion hunt

A BURNT out car found at Beverly Hills, is believed to have been used in a kidnap for ransom in Sydney’s north west last month.

Detectives have now released CCTV of four men and a stolen BMW X1 2018 and are appealing for information as part of ongoing investigations.
About 10.30pm on Sunday, February 9, police were called to a home on Brothers Road, Dundas Valley, following reports of a home invasion.
Investigations revealed a man, purporting to be delivering a pizza, attended the home, before three further men also entered and assaulted a 58-year-old man.
During the assault, the man was knocked unconscious before being carried outside the home and put into a vehicle, which fled the location.
Two days later, police were notified after the 58-year-old man presented at Liverpool Hospital with several injuries, including face and leg fractures.
Detectives from the State Crime Commands Robbery and Serious Crime Squad are investigating the incident under Strike Force Kaeppel.
Investigators have been told a sum of money was paid for the man’s safe release.
Investigators are appealing for information to identify the men, the first man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, wearing a ‘Champion’ cap and jumper, while the other men were wearing track suit pants and jumpers.
