Asiye Kekilli said it was her and husband Ender’s second national business award win, first winning in 2019, although they have won 13 local business awards.
“We were up against the rest of the country so to win was amazing,” Mrs Kekilli said.
“It was a big surprise and we are over the moon.”
The Australian Small Business Champion Awards is the only national recognition program for small businesses.
The Kekillis received an award statuette, a limited edition 25th anniversary commemorative coin and certificate, as well as national recognition for their efforts as an industry leader.
Precedent Productions, and founder of the awards, Steve Loe, said that after 25 years celebrating outstanding small businesses, he was in awe of the continued resilience and creativity small business owners across Australia continue to display.
