Educator Dorisa Roche said: “Developing stronger connections between these older adults and their little community can have wonderful benefits for young and old.
“It is the goal of Just Little Kidz Yagoona to increase the frequency of these visits to see the real benefits.
“We love the way children learn how to interact with different people, make a difference in an older person’s life and also witness the connections that children make with the residents.
“This connection is very valuable since many of the residents’ own extended families are often overseas and they miss out on that connection with the young. Valuing all ages in our community and building stronger partnerships with the local community is a priority for Just Little Kidz Yagoona.”
