One of CAT’s exhibiting artists, Michaela Simoni, says the opening of the ‘Abstract’ show will include a musical performance, adding that they will also hold a ‘closing’ event featuring the Auburn Poets and Writers on Sunday, March 8, at 2pm.
She said the overarching aim of the exhibition was to bring the viewer a diversity of abstract images, that utilise different mediums such as paint, sculpture, drawing, embroidery, photography and found objects.
“We bring you to our art to find meaning through our depiction of shape, colour, memory, visual sensation and the imagination,” she said.
Gallery One62 is located at 162 Parramatta Road in Auburn and the exhibition is open daily, from 9am to 5pm.
