Join cities around world for Make Music Day

BANKSTOWN will be joining cities around the world to celebrate Make Music Day this Friday, June 21.

Drop into Paul Keating Park from noon to 2pm, to enjoy original music from western Sydney, hosted by Canterbury Bankstown Council and the Cultural Arts Collective. The event will feature Worlds Collide, a seven- piece band that combines hip hop, distorted guitars, world rhythms and soaring vocals plus Karifi and the African Union Dancers, Blue Mary, Emcee Esky and more.

Bankstown Central will also joining in and hosting students from Birrong Girls’ High and La Salle Catholic College who will be performing in Centre Court.

Birrong Girls High will be taking to the stage from 10-11am, entertaining the crowds with their school pop band followed by a vocal group performance, while students from La Salle Catholic College will perform a selection of songs sung in both Arabic and English followed by violin and guitar solos from 1-2pm.
