‘Under the Weeping Willow’ is the story of a picturesque English village which is suddenly struck down with food poisoning.
Amid the comings and goings of the village community, there is the local publican who holds a secret which no one would expect, least of all his partner.
Drama, romance and gossip form part of the daily life of this small village and throughout it all, the weeping willow tree stands proud on the village green, holding many a shared heartfelt regret and deep desires beneath its majestic boughs.
Though always having a passion for writing, Madeleine didn’t write her first book until she was 63.
“It proves it’s never too late to follow your dreams,” she said.
“I want to thank the Revesby Writers’ Group, of which I am a member, who have been an enormous support throughout my writing journey.”
The book will be launched at Revesby Workers’ Club on Saturday, May 28, with complimentary Devonshire tea. Places are limited. If planning to attend, email maddymissin@yahoo.com.
Madeleine’s books, including her first two ‘Tell Me A Story’ and ‘Bear’, are available via Amazon, Fishpond or Booktopia.
