Have you had a big life change or recently moved to the area?
Or maybe you feel fine now but looking to find your ‘village’ and gather a support group around you?
A new group for all ages and backgrounds, called The Men’s Table, is launching later this month in Silverwater and will join over 200 tables across Australia which were first set up following the pandemic to create connection again.
Comprising eight to 12 men, members get together for a monthly dinner talk about what’s going on in their lives, good and bad, and everything in between.
Hosted by some long-standing members of The Men’s Table, including Eric Balinghasay, you will get a chance to meet similar minded men from the area at the dinner and get a taste of the Men’s Table experience.
Eric said The Men’s Table helped members create genuine mateship, have conversations that went beyond banter, if sought, and form supportive communities among men.
“There are no membership fees, your outlay will be just the cost of a drink and a meal,” he said.
“This is a safe space to speak openly without judgement with a group of good men.
“We share our own stories, confident that no one will try to fix or advise us, knowing that our open listening is valuable and welcomed.”
Your first ‘entree’ to The Men’s Table will be at Silverwater Hotel on Wednesday, July 24, and to find out more or register attendance, call 1800 636 782 or hello@themenstable.org.
