Born with Apert syndrome which left him with deformed limbs, Hooper has represented NSW in athletics and was a world champion swimmer before taking up boxing and competing at two world masters games, while Quinn has more than three decades working in elite sport, including with the Australian track and field team at the Sydney Olympic Games and AFL teams such as the GWS Giants and Essendon.
PCYC Bankstown Manager David Adams said it was an honour having absolute sports legends John Quinn and Jason Hooper come the club to give the boxing squad some advice and inspiration.
“What amazing human beings! Everyone was thrilled to have them visit,” he said.
