Inspirational survivors Billy Dib and Rula Khalafawi (pictured) shared their inspiring stories of triumph with the community on Tuesday, May 23.
Chair of Riverwood Community Centre, Councillor Karl Saleh said the gathering was as a strong reminder of the powerful human spirit.
“A big thanks to our guest speakers for their inspiring and emotional speeches, the centre’s Targeted Early Intervention team for organising the event, and wonderful community for supporting this very crucial event,” he said.
