“Each year we give different teams the opportunity to wear the jersey as a mark of respect to pay tribute to our First Nations people,” Holroyd Rangers President Danny Rizk said. “It was a great effort by the women who are growing in confidence game by game; we’re super proud of them.”
Indigenous jerseys for ‘NAIDOC Week’
CELEBRATING NAIDOC Week, three teams from Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club (pictured) ran onto the field at the weekend wearing their Indigenous Round jerseys with the All Age Ladies team winning 2-1 while the All Age Men went down 1-0 and the U15s were defeated 2-0.
