Three teenage boys, two aged 17 and a 16-year-old, were sitting in their Mazda parked on Wonga Street, waiting to pick up a friend about 9.15pm (Sunday, November 1), when a man approached the vehicle and confronted them before becoming aggressive, punching the driver through the open window and removing the keys from the ignition.
Two other men appeared, with one of them kicking the vehicle and the other punching the passenger window and causing it to smash and injure the front passenger.
The three unknown men were last seen running along Wonga Lane.
The teenagers sought assistance from nearby witnesses who contacted emergency services.
Campsie Police established a crime scene at the vehicle, which has been seized and will be forensically examined.
The 17-year-olds were treated at the scene, before the passenger suffering lacerations to his arms and hands was taken to hospital in a stable condition. The younger boy was uninjured.

Abducted man found with injuries
POLICE are appealing for public assistance after an injured man was found in East Hills last Tuesday.
About 12.40pm on Saturday, October 24, police attended a unit block on Morrison Road, Ryde, where a man was violently abducted from the underground carpark.
Three days later, the man was found near the intersection of Henry Lawson Drive and Maclaurin Avenue, East Hills, with minor injuries.
The 21-year-old was treated for his injuries before being taken to hospital for treatment.
Sexual touching on train charges
A MAN has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of a teenage girl travelling on a bus near Bankstown earlier this month.
Just after 1pm on Thursday, October 15, a 16-year-old girl was travelling on a bus between Bankstown and Yagoona, when an unknown man sat next to her and attempted to engage her in conversation, before allegedly sexually touching her multiple times.
A 33-year-old man was arrested at a home at Padstow last Thursday night and charged with sexually touch another person without consent and common assault.
Find gun, drugs, cash during raid
A GLOCK pistol was allegedly found under a lounge cushion at a home in Condell Park during a police search on Tuesday.
Strike Force Raptor investigators charged a man after allegedly seizing a pistol, prohibited drugs and nearly $30,000 cash, as part of a major disruption operation targeting criminal networks in the south-west.
Just before 7am, police conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) and Weapons Prohibition Order (WPO) search at a home on Market Street, where they allegedly located the pistol as well as $29,150 cash, nearly 150g of cocaine, 40g of methylamphetamine (ice), cannabis and prescription medication. Investigations are continuing.
