Hunt over stabbing

A MAN was taken to hospital in a serious condition, and police are searching for a man after a stabbing at Villawood last Friday night.

About 6.15pm, police were called to a unit carpark in Urana Street where they located the injured man with stab wounds to his neck. 

He was treated at the scene and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Investigations are underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Threaten ambo with pole

A VILLAWOOD man has been charged after he allegedly threatened paramedics who were trying to help him.

Paramedics were called to Villawood on Friday, July 12, where a 43-year-old man who was heavily intoxicated injured himself when he fell down the stairs at home.

Paramedics tried to assist the man but he refused treatment and allegedly used a pole to threaten paramedics. He was charged with Obstruct or hinder ambulance officer by act of violence and Attempt stalk/intimidate, intend fear of harm.

Charged over vehicle fire

AFTER a lengthy investigation, police have charged a 36-year-old male from Georges Hall with publishing false misleading material to obtain advantage, dishonestly for gain damage property by fire/explosive and dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.

Police will allege he deliberately caused fire to a motor vehicle and claimed financial advantage from the insurance company.

Trying to break into cars

A MAN, 19, has been charged after police were called to Tower St, Panania, on Tuesday, July 16, at 3.40am after witnesses allegedly saw him attempting to open the doors of multiple cars parked in the street. 

Police located the man and a search allegedly located a torch, large amount of coins, credit cards in other persons’ names, and other items believed to be stolen. The Bonnyrigg man was charged with possessing implements to enter conveyance and three counts goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.

Arrest for choking attack

A MAN who allegedly attempted to choke his girlfriend at her Bankstown unit, has been charged.

Police said that on Tuesday, July 2, a 26-year-old man from Sydney Olympic Park became involved in an argument which escalated and he attempted to choke his girlfriend.

He was charged with intentionally choke etc person without consent, common assault (DV) and two counts of Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).
