Hunt for those ‘wanted’

POLICE have launched a week-long operation targeting individuals wanted on outstanding warrants, as part of Operation Persistence.

As part of the operation, officers attached to all nine South-West Metropolitan Region Police Area Commands – with assistance from specialist units – have been proactively doorknocking to locate individuals who are wanted between Saturday, March 12 and Friday, March 18.
The warrants relate to traffic and transport offences, property crime such as break, enter and steal, prohibited drug-related offences, armed robberies, firearms offences and sexual-related offences.
Operation Commander, Detective Superintendent Simon Glasser, said calls to Crime Stoppers had already provided good information, which was actively being followed up.
“We are seeking public assistance and encourage the community to review photographs of wanted individuals posted daily on the NSW Police Force Facebook page and individual South-West Metropolitan Command pages,” Supt Glasser said.
Any information regarding the location of individuals wanted on outstanding warrants can be provided in confidence to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
